We didn't start Verva to make "just another pet brush." We started it because we were tired of the trade-off every pet owner knows too well, bulky, awkward tools that work but hurt to hold after five minutes, or sleek, attractive gadgets that look great on a shelf and fall apart at the first real mat. We'd tried the metal rakes that left our hands cramped. We'd tried the trendy gadgets that photographed beautifully and did almost nothing. What we hadn't found was a tool that respected both sides of the equation: something that actually worked, and something we didn't dread reaching for.

So we built it ourselves. We saw a gap between grooming tools built for marketing photos and grooming tools built for the actual mess of daily pet ownership — the fur on the couch, the mats behind the ears, the ten minutes before bed when you just want it done. Verva was built to close that gap.
